The element of FIRE is a transformational element, it is the warmth in our hearts, burning passions in our soul and the light that guides our thought and conscience. The greatest discovery of mankind, it can change from illuminating and warming to blinding and scorching.
An elemental force in nature that requires careful tending, to ensure it does not go out or rage out of our control. 

The quote above speaks to how the element of FIRE, if kindled and stoked to produce hate and intolerance, like a wild fire it suffocates one's ability to  genuinely connect to others. 
If kindled and but not feed, deprived of compassion and loving kindness, it losses its ability receive warmth and give warmth.
